Xiaomi May Launch a Mi 8 SE With New Snapdragon 710 Chipset on May 31

May 31 is guaranteed to be a big day for Xiaomi. At its press event in Shenzhen, the company is expected to unveil a number of products, including the Mi Band 3, MIUI 10, and of course, its latest flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi 8. Now, however, reports indicate that the company may also introduce a premium mid-range handset named Mi 8 SE that will apparently be the first device to sport the recently announced Snapdragon 710 SoC.
An image, said to be of the Mi 8 SE retail box, was posted on Weibo recently, seemingly revealing some of the key hardware specs of the upcoming smartphone, including the aforementioned info about its processor. The image further reveals that the device will have either 4GB or 6GB of RAM, an AI-powered dual-camera setup at the back and a 20MP camera on the front. Samsung’s High Performance 10nm-Class 32GB DDR4 RAM For Gaming Laptops Enters Production

Samsung has announced that it has started making the industry’s first 32GB DDR4 memory modules (SoDIMM) for high-performance gaming laptops. Based on the 10nm-class process technology, the new SoDIMMs will allow users to enjoy enriched PC-grade computer games on the go, with significantly more capacity, higher speeds, and lower energy consumption.
The new modules are expected to allow PC OEMs to build faster top-of-the-line gaming-oriented laptops with longer battery life. Samsung claims that devices with the new memory sticks can even potentially have higher performance capacities than conventional mobile workstations while maintaining existing PC configurations. According to the company, the new memory modules are around 11 percent faster and about 39 percent more energy-efficient than their predecessors – the 16GB SoDIMM modules that were launched back in 2014, and was based on 20nm-class 8-gigabit (Gb) DDR4 technology. Google’s ARCore for Android Reaches China Through Xiaomi’s App Store

Google has been exploring ways of widening its reach in China ever since its most popular and widely-used product, Google Search, was blocked in the country. The company has invested in a number of Chinese startups, including a $120 million investment in Chushou – an online esports platform which allows users to broadcast their mobile gameplay live for others to watch. Earlier this year in February, when Google officially launched its augmented reality SDK, the company announced a partnership with Xiaomi, Huawei and Samsung to release smartphones with ARCore support in the Chinese markets. This Insane 8K 3D/4V Camera Is Actually a Smartphone Accessory

Professional camera-makers RED and Lucid have are jointly working on a next generation prosumer 3D/4-View (4V) camera for 8K video and image capture. But the big deal here is that it’s actually an add-on for a smartphone; in this case it’s for the high-end RED Hydrogen One modular holographic phone. While RED has designed the hardware, Lucid is in charge of the 3D Fusion Technology software that will power the device.

Xiaomi has added four new models to its burgeoning smart TV lineup, including its very first curved television, in China. The TVs, which come under the company’s Mi TV 4C, Mi TV 4X and Mi TV 4S brands, range from 32-inches to 55-inches in size.
