Meizu M8c with Snapdragon 425 processor, 18:9 display launched



Chinese smartphone brand Meizu has launched a new budget smartphone in the budget range. The Meizu M8c has been introduced in the Russian market at a price of RUB 9,900 which roughly translates to Rs 10,800 in India. While the company hasn’t revealed any plans to launch the smartphone in India, we can only expect Meizu to make a come back in the budget range soon

The Meizu M8c features a 5.45-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage with support for up to 128GB microSD cards. It runs Meizu’s Android-based Flyme OS.

As far as the camera is concerned, the Meizu M8c comes with a 13MP PDAF rear camera with an aperture of f/2.2 aperture along with an 8MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. Backed by a 3,070mAh battery, the Meizu M8c comes with regular connectivity features including 4G LTE, Bluetooth and 3.5mm headphone jack.

The company had earlier launched the Meizu Pro 7 in India at Rs 22,999. It’s a dual-display smartphone. The handset has a secondary Super AMOLED display at the back, which can show notifications for calls, messages and more. It also comes in handy while clicking selfies with the rear camera(s), as it can be used to compose shots.

In terms of specs, the Meizu Pro 7 has a 5.5-inch full HD Super AMOLED display. It comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Even though it comes in two options in terms of processor -- MediaTek Helio P25 and MediaTek Helio X30 -- the handset listed on Amazon India features Helio P25 processor. The smartphone includes 3000mAh battery with mCharge 3.0 fast-charging support. For camera, the Meizu Pro 7 has a dual rear camera setup of 12MP sensors with features such as phase detection autofocus, dual-tone dual LED flash and 4K videos at 30 frames per second. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.
